This feels like Dja vu as HTC just launched the One M9+. Yes, the company did already release this handset earlier in the year, so this is a re-launch that brings some updated specs to the flagship. The handset is the most spec'd that HTC makes and while the original was a China expected this is expected to launch around the world. We will get to what exactly HTC is playing at by launching numerous flagships that are virtually identical in another article, but taken on its own the One M9+ remains a stunning device. Stunning is apt for the build quality and overall design. Yes, we are in the camp that says HTC's flagship designs are getting a bit boring, but the fact is this is still a sexy smartphone. The brushed aluminum is sumptuous and oozes premium, while the obvious attention to detail remains the best within the Android market. As for specs, the HTC One M9+ gets a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen, a 64-bit MediaTek 2.2 GHz octa-core Helio X10 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 2,840 mAh battery, Android Lollipop, BoomSound front facing stereo speakers, a 21 megapixel Toshiba made primary camera, HTC's 4MP UltraPixel lens on the front, and a fingerprint scanner. The handset will launch October 14th in Taiwan for the equivalent of $640 and should be rolling out to other regions as the Holiday Season approaches.
