The HTC One A9 is not going to be the bleeding edge smartphone we originally thought, but it is the next flagship smartphone the company will release. Before that though HTC is launching the One M9e at an event tomorrow (we'll have to wait until next month for the One A9), and a few days before its launch the handset has passed through TENAA in China. The device will be a more than competent high end smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD screen with a pixel density of 441ppi. Other specs include an eight core MediaTek MT6795 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of native storage, micro SD card expansion to 128GB, a 13 megapixel main camera, and a 4MP front facing lens with HTC's UltraPixel technology. You will also be getting BoomSound stereo speakers on the front with Dolby sound, Dual SIM capabilities, and Android Lollipop. As the MediaTek processor suggests, this will be a Chinese exclusive, which we think is fine considering just how many One M9 variants there are at the moment. We hope that the A9 will bring something new to the party in October.
