Samsung has been doing more than most to reach a goal have having a folding smartphone. The company already has folded glass on its various Edge handsets, and its project YOUM has been promising folded smartphones for some time. Indeed, Samsung said such a device could be ready by 2016, which now seems to be true.Of course an actual folding smartphone, the kind you can roll into your pocket for example, is another matter, but Samsung is apparently going to show off its first such smartphone at CES in 2016. Apparently it will be a high smartphone too with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 3GB of RAM, a removable battery, and a micro SD card slot. It is still unclear how this device will look or indeed what it will be called, while we fully expect for CES to serve as a taster of the handset and for it to launch later, possibly in Q3 of 2016.
