HTC needs some buzz and it needs a hit device. The ailing company is losing money month on month as sales have collapsed, even for the fantastic (if a little stale) One M9 flagship. The Taiwanese giant will roll the dice again with the HTC Aero, a smartphone with reported flagship quality that will hopefully usher in a new dawn of success for the company. It now seems that HTC will launch the Aero on September 29 according to an invite released by the company today with the title "The World Best Meets the Best". That could mean two device launching at the same time, but the other handset is thought to just be another variant of the One M9.
The new flagship is due to launch in October and according to former @evleaks whistle-blower Evan Blass the device will be called the HTC Aero. That is likely to be a codename, but either way it seems as though HTC is throwing everything at Aero, including a spectacular new design that our own sources say is beautiful. Spec wise HTC will go with the latest and greatest hardware expected to be available by Q4 this year, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, Quad HD display, and a significantly better camera that we have seen from HTC before.
