OnePlus makes fantastic smartphones, but the company's invite system to purchase one is frustrating. It is a model that has sort of worked (the OnePlus One was a sales success), but we can't help but think the company would sell a lot more if it opened up sales. Cost cutting is the reason for the invite system, but OnePlus says it has finally cracked how to get this sales model right and soon and "aggressive invite rollout" will happen. That rollout will be for the OnePlus 2, the company's newest Flagship Killer smartphone that well over three million consumers have already shown interest in buying. This aggressive invite rollout is going to put the device in the hands of as many people as possible, according to company co-founder Carl Pei on twitter. However, once again this is all because OnePlus was late (almost a month) in rolling out the first handsets, so it seems we are one the up and down ride with the company one again.
Apologies for the wait. We were set back by almost a month, but finally our aggressive invite rollout starts next weekend. Pretty stoked.
