HTC's One M9 launched earlier in the year with the company's brand new Sense 7 Android UI, still probably the best third party Android skin. However, users of HTC's 2014 One M8 flagship are still awaiting the new software to land on their device, with Sense 7 UI expected to land on the handset when Android 5.1 Lollipop is rolled out by the Taiwanese company. That was due to arrive in August according to a previous HTC confirmation, but it now seems that One M8 users will have to wait a bit longer. Mo Versi, a HTC product manager who is often a source of software information for the company, took to twitter to confirm a delay in Sense 7 for the One M8. Versi said that Sense 7 will probably now be coming to the One M8 when Android M launches later in the year. As normal HTC has said that it will update its flagship One M9 to Android M within three months of the software's launch (expected to be November). However, the company usually goes close to that limit, which would mean the M9 would get Android M sometime during February. The One M8 is probably going to get Google's new platform after that, so users could be waiting another 6 to 8 months for Sense 7.
