A Samsung smartphone has passed through benchmark database AnTuTu and smashed the record with that software, with an amazing score of 95,972. Meaningless numbers for some of you I imagine, but this is a stunning score that blitzes the current record holder. That device is the Samsung Galaxy S6, but the company's upcoming Galaxy Note 5 has recently recorded a score of 69,702 pre-launch.

So, this is not Samsung's upcoming flagship phablet, so what handset is it that passed through AnTuTu with the Korean company's branding. There is a good chance that this is Samsung's next full flagship, the Galaxy S6. Sure, we are not expecting that handset to land until early next year, but Samsung is obviously already in the developmental process.

The AnTuTu record breaker carried the model number SM-8508S, so we will certainly be looking out for that device number in the coming months. Once again, we would like to point out that benchmark scores are not the defining factor of performance, but nevertheless smashing the record on AnTuTu is certainly not a bad sign that Samsung has a real beast coming soon.
