There have been plenty of rumors suggesting Samsung will be launching its Galaxy Note 5 during August, earlier than what it normally does. Some noise from the Korean company denied that was the case, but there is no smoke without fire and it is getting more apparent that Samsung will launch its phablet flagship next month, with 12th August the mooted launch date.

SamMobile, one of the most reputed Samsung reporters has claimed the launch date will be August 12th and that the company will launch the Galaxy S6 Edge + at the same time. That's the second solid source to claim that date, with Digitimes also offering the same idea. The company will then roll out the handset to consumers on August 21st.

Traditionally Samsung has launched its Note series during the IFA trade show in Berlin during early September, but this year the company wants to get in early to give the Note time before Apple's new iPhone lands. Cupertino will launch the iPhone 6s mid-September and last year the arrival of the iPhone 6 and especially the iPhone 6 Plus really harmed the Galaxy Note 4, or Samsung apparently perceives.

Of course, the Korean company will deny it is moving the Note 5 launch to avoid Apple, but it seems that is indeed the case. It is a better scenario in the opinion of yours truly because the Galaxy Note 5 will be the best phablet ever made judging by spec and design leaks... yes, even better than any iPhone 6s Plus.
