While the Xperia Z4v was not the flagship we hoped to get from Sony, it is still the most decked out smartphone the company has ever made. It features market leading specs and is premium, although despite being well made we would like to see the company change up its flagship design a touch. We digress as the real news of the day is that Verizon has confirmed that it will start selling the Xperia Z4v from August 13th.The largest carrier in the United States will give Sony a platform for its latest and greatest to reach the masses, something the company could use as sales have fallen. The Japanese giant has never been hugely committed to the U.S. market, but that seems to be changing now and linking with Big Red is a good way to get your handsets some sales coverage. The Xperia Z4v is the first ever Sony smartphone to come with a Quad HD screen, while it also gets other specs like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 coupled with 3GB of RAM. Elsewhere there is water and dust resistance, a 3,000 mAh battery, 32GB of on board storage and micro SD card slot. Sony is the leading smartphone camera sensor company in the world its 20.7 Exmor lens is present here on the rear, with a 5 megapixel shooter up front. Verizon has yet to say how much the Xperia Z4v will cost, but we will probably find out before it launches on August 13th.
