There is little doubt that the HTC One M9 disappointed on so many levels and sales have taken a major hit as consumers turned away from the flagship. The Taiwanese company is now reeling without a successful flag waving handset in most markets, but HTC has said it will launch another top line smartphone later in the year and judging by early rumors it is going to re-introduce us to the HTC we know and love. You know the one, a company that can wow us with a handset as imaginative and fresh as the original HTC One (M7). The new flagship is due to launch in October and according to former @evleaks whistle-blower Evan Blass the device will be called the HTC Aero. That is likely to be a codename, but either way it seems as though HTC is throwing everything at Aero, including a spectacular new design that our own sources say is beautiful. Spec wise HTC will go with the latest and greatest hardware expected to be available by Q4 this year, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, Quad HD display, and a significantly better camera that we have seen from HTC before. Until the HTC is not going to labour in Europe with an under-performing flagship and has said it will launch the One M9+ in most major European markets during Q3. A Dutch retailer is already offering an unlocked One M9+, but it is not an officially released version for Europe. The handset is an improved version of the regular One M9 with a Quad HD screen and currently costs $850 in the Netherlands.
