Sony announced the Xperia M4 Aqua back in March, but as is the norm for the company there was no announcement on if the handset would launch in the United States. The handset landed in 80 other countries around the world, but Sony has yet to launch the M4 Aqua in the U.S.. That does not mean it is unavailable in the country though as it has arrived unlocked via Amazon and can be bought from today.

Amazon is selling an unlocked version of the Xperia M4 Aqua for $349, meaning you can run the phone on any carrier you choose to.

The handset will be Sony's mid-range effort for 2015, and as the name suggests it comes with the company's now familiar waterproofing. That means it can be dunked into depths of up to 1.5 meters and last for 30 minutes. However, there is more to the Xperia M4 Aqua than that, including a very pleasing design and some solid specs.

It comes with a 5.2-inch 720p screen, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 13 megapixel snapper around back, and a 5 megapixel selfie quality lend on the front.
