Meizu's m2 Note (or Blue Charm Note 2) is an impressive smartphone, it is solidly spec'd and a steal at just $130 (base model). Announced earlier this month, the Chinese company revealed that the device will be available from June 12, giving consumers in China the chance to reserve their unit. And they have done that, to the tune of 10 million reservations made for the handset. It should be noted that the Chinese reservation system is not the same as a pre-order. While a pre-order consists of a cash transaction purchase, the reservation system merely denotes that a customer is interested in buying said device upon launch. In other words, 10 million people are unlikely to buy the m2 Note, but nevertheless the device is obviously appealing to a great many in China. The device comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p screen, a 64-bit eight core MediaTek MT6753 chip with a 1.3GHz clock speed, 2GB of RAM, dual SIM support, a 13 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel front facing lens, 3100 mAh, and Android Lollipop out of the box. Those staggering specs are available for just $130 with 16GB of storage or $160 with 32GB of on board space. Meizu has not said whether the device will be officially launched in other regions, although it is on the company?s global website. Some third party retailers are offering the handset worldwide, but the device will certainly not be so bargain cheap outside of China... a shame.
