A new, unannounced, ASUS smartphone has been certified by TENAA, the Chinese regulatory body that passes products for sale in the country. The device comes with the model number Z00EDB and is likely a new addition to the company's ZenFone line of handsets. Many reports suggest that this is the ZenFone 3, while is rumoured to be a lower-priced version of the well-received ZenFone 2 that launched earlier in the year. However, ASUS is likely to keep the ZenFone 3 name for the next full high end addition of its smartphone range, so this new device could be a variation of the ZenFone 2 name. The device that went through TENNA comes with a 5-inch 720p HD screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 64-bit Intel processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on board storage, micro SD card slot, an 8 megapixel rear snapper, and a 5 megapixel selfie quality front lens. The device has 3G and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, while Android 5.0 Lollipop is likely to be present out of the box.
