We told you yesterday that the Motorola DROID Turbo is suffering from a battery drain issue, but it seems that is not the only high end smartphone with such problem. The OnePlus One is also having its fair share of issues in the battery department, with the issue apparently coming from a new touchscreen driver installed on the handset. The problem stems longer than that, coming from an issue OnePlus One users has with the touchscreen over the last few months. The screen was slowing down responses or not working at all, so OnePlus issued a driver update within its CM12.1 software package for the device. It is this new driver that is apparently causing the battery problem. While the software comes from Cyanogen, but it is not the fault of the company as it seems the driver was packaged by OnePlus. However, the driver in question was only added to a nightly build of the software for those willing to run a build that is not complete or bug free. If you have yet to pick up this update we would advise avoiding it for now until OnePlus and Cyanogen are fixing the issue.
