The current ASUS ZenWatch is one of the best wearables on the markets, good-looking and solidly spec'd, but the company said that the sequel would not arrive until next year. That was the news from ASUS CEO Jerry Shen back in April, but news in Taiwan now suggests that Shen has changed his mind and says the smartwatch is on course to be launched during the third quarter of 2015 instead.Shen was speaking in New Delhi where he was launching the ZenFone 2 smartphone in April when he said the device was unlikely to land until 2016. He now says that his original timeframe was a "misunderstanding" and that the ZenWatch 2 will be launched at the Computex expo in Taipei during the third quarter of this year. Computex takes place in ASUS' home country of Taiwan and is the biggest computing trade show in the world, making it quite interesting that the company is using the event to launch the smartwatch instead of a mobile based show such as IFA in Berlin. Computex starts on June 2nd, so we do not have to wait too much longer for ASUS to launch the device during the week-long event.
