If you own a Nokia Lumia 1020, you probably thought you would never see the Lumia Denim update, which always struck as strange considering it's is one of the high end Windows Phone handsets. Well, the very long wait is finally over as the AT&T variant of the Lumia 1020 is getting the Lumia Denim, which means other versions of the handset should also be getting the update in due course.

The Lumia 1020 is of course the smartphone that features a 41 megapixel PureView rear camera with optical image stabilization and an aperture of f/2.2. It is still probably the best smartphone camera on the market despite pushing nearly two years old. Other specs for the 1020 include a 4.5-inch 720p screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 1.2 megapixel front lens.

As for Lumia Denim, the software brings Microsoft's voice activated personal assistant Cortana to the Windows Phone party, while Live Folders, MSN Weather, MSN Health and Fitness, Glance Screen with notifications, and security patches are also added.

AT&T is pushing out the update over the air, so you may have to wait a few days to get the prompt to download it. Once you are eligible for the upgrade, make sure you have a Wi-Fi network and at least 50% of battery left on your handset. If you have already pulled in Lumia Denim for your Lumia 1020, let us know how it is treating you.
