Motorola confirmed earlier in the month that its first generation Moto smartphones (Moto X and Moto G) would be skipping the Android 5.0 update and moving straight from 4.4.4 KitKat to Lollipop 5.1. That roll out is expected soon, especially now a changelist for the Android 5.1 running on the first generation Moto X showed up today. The leak comes from Brazil, a hotbed for Motorola on the money Motorola leaks over the last year, the Moto X 2014 and the Moto G second gen LTE leaked in the country pre-launch. This changelist is almost certainly the real deal then and shows just Lollipop 5.1 running over Motorola's nearly stock Android experience. The changelist is in Portuguese, but we actually speak that language, or at least a Google Translate garbled version of it. The list reveals now familiar Android Lollipop goodies such as 64-bit ART compiler, Lock Screen notifications, Smart Lock, Quick Settings, Project Volta, and of course Material Design. Also coming to the 2013 Moto X and Moto G is Battery Saving Mode and a new flashlight feature. source: Motorola Brazil
