AT&T is serving up a double dose of Samsung updates as the Galaxy S5 Active and the Galaxy Alpha are now receiving their Android 5.0.2 Lollipop updates. The second largest carrier in the United States is rolling out the upgrade over the air now, so you should be seeing the prompt on your device soon, if you haven't already.

These are pretty sizeable updates too, the Galaxy S5 Active weighs in at a massive 1.4GB, while the Galaxy Alpha package comes in at 1GB. As these are sizeable files, AT&T insists that they be downloaded via a Wi-Fi connection, so using your data package this time is out of the question. You should also have at least 50% battery, but for this huge bump we would suggest ensuring 75% is remaining in your juicer.

The update will bring all the goodies of Android Lollipop to the sporty version of Samsung's 2014 flagship and the Galaxy Alpha, a handset that started the company's new premium design language. That means the two devices will be getting Lock Screen notifications, Project Volta, 64-bit ART compiler, Material Design, Enhanced Security, and Quick Settings, all baked over Samsung's own TouchWiz UI of course.
