We are still awaiting the launch of the Xperia Z4, Sony's upcoming new flagship smartphone, which is due to arrive sometime this summer. The Japanese company seems to have another high end handset up its sleeve too, with serial tipster @Upleaks claiming that Sony will unveil a new well spec'd device code-named "Lavender".Considering @Upleaks has a solid track record we are willing to believe this is the real deal. The Lavender comes with a Full HD 1080 x 1920 resolution screen, although the size has not been specified. Sony is opting to go for a 64-bit MediaTek MT6752, just like HTC did earlier today with the One M9+; that chipset comes with eight ARM Cortex 53 cores clocked at 2GHz and a Mali-T760 GPU. Elsewhere the new smartphone will pack LTE connectivity and other high end specs such as 2GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel rear camera, and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Considering the MediaTek chipset, we are inclined to think that this device will be launched solely for the Asian market, again like the One M9+.
