Android 5.1 Lollipop is continuing to make its way out into the wild, coming to Nexus and other devices close to Google first. The next in line is the Google Play Edition of the LG G Pad 8.3, which is getting its update to the newer software build now. The slate has been rocking Android 5.0 since way back in November 2014, but it is now upgrading to the newer 5.1 through OTA updates.The file is weighing in at 203MB and brings with it numerous bug fixes, Wi-Fi network joining and Bluetooth linking through the Quick Settings menu. Other new additions include new animations, detailed Interruptions settings, and Device Protection. The Google Play Edition of the LG G Pad 8.3 is the one that carries stock Android with it, launched back in October 2013, the aging slate brings a Full HD (1200 x 1920) screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5 megapixel snapper, and a 4600 mAh juicer.
