OnePlus is known to be working on its next flagship smartphone (as well as a mid-range device) and the company give some more information about the handset. During an AMA (ask me anything) session on Reddit, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei was asked about the next flagship and had the following to say.The handset will be called the OnePlus 2, as previously rumored, while Pei says this device will be a step up from the original OnePlus One. Indeed, he says that the new flagship from the Chinese will be one of four "really influential flagship smartphones this year". The others on the list according to Pei are the Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, and the next iPhone that will launch this fall. Interestingly he does not see LG's upcoming G4 as really influential. He did not offer any hard details such as specs or design, but the OnePlus 2 is reported to be coming with a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen (1140 x 2560 resolution), a octa-core Snapdragon 810 from Qualcomm, 4GB of RAM, and a host of other high spec usual suspects. In terms of design, the handset will be constructed from metal just like the One M9, Galaxy S6, and iPhone.
