Xiaomi is such a big name in the smartphone world these days that it is hard to remember that the company was only formed in 2010. The brand has enjoyed a meteoric rise in China since then and Xiaomi is now nearing its fifth birthday. The date is March 31st and Xiaomi has plans to celebrate turning five years old.The company says it will introduce some new products on the date to mark the occasion and has set aside an event to do that. There has been plenty of speculation that Xiaomi will be launching its own smartwatch soon, and this could be the time to do that. The wearable will reportedly come with a screen that is larger than other smartwatches, while it will have wave velocity identification and a blood pressure tracker. There could also be a smartphone announcement. There are two Xiaomi devices rumored at the moment, an entry level handset and the Xiaomi Ferrari, a mid-range device. The latter smartphone passed through GFXBench with an eight core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip, a 4.9-inch 1080p HD screen, and 2GB of RAM. The solid spec sheet continues with a 12 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel selfie quality front shooter, 16GB of storage, and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box. As such, it is more likely that the Xiaomi Ferrari is the most likely to be announced, but we only have to wait until next Tuesday to find out.
