AT&T started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the newer versions that removes "Interruptions" too. While it is fully expected that Samsung's newest phablet flagship is getting the latest version of Android, the fact the Galaxy Note 3 is also receiving Lollipop today is a little more surprising.

The handset is over a year old and it was obviously going to get Android Lollipop on AT&T at some point some international version already have it. However, AT&T has decided to update the last two Galaxy Note smartphones at once.

The update for the Galaxy Note 3 is hefty, weighing in at 1GB; which means you should definitely use a Wi-Fi connection and make sure your battery is just about fully juiced up. AT&T has confirmed the update but said some consumer may not be seeing the OTA patch right away. Android 5.0 Lollipop brings Material Design and a host of other new features, while AT&T has also added some changes of its own.
