Meizu has been making some moves in the market over the last year with its Chinese exclusive handsets. The company's devices have ranged from very good to excellent, while sales have increased enough for Meizu to be a threat to major brands in its homeland. However, while the smartphones the company makes are bursting with quality, they are still lagging slightly behind in terms of software. There now seems to be an indication that Meizu will be updating some of its devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop soon. A leak on Chinese social media website Wiebo seems to show Meizu's roadmap for updating its products to the latest full version of Google's mobile platform. The chart was in Chinese and not exactly brimming with clarity, but we think we have got to the bottom of it. The roadmap shows that the MX4 Pro flagship will be receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop sometime through the next month (April), with the software also reaching the regular MX4 during that time. The older MX3 and MX2 should be getting a lick of the Lollipop through the month of May, which is actually stunning news as the MX2 was launched way back in 2012 so we thought its Lollipop chances were remote. Meizu will also send out Lollipop to its mega affordable entry level device, the M1, with the handset due for an upgrade in the summer.
