Huawei Smartwatch

Huawei raised the curtain on its smartwatch at the Mobile World Conference and it is a stunner, one of the nicest looking wearables on the market, and sexier than a certain Apple Watch. The Chinese company has now revealed the prices of the device in the European market, with the gold version of the Android Wear smartwatch landing in Germany.

The watch oozes a premium look thanks to a sapphire screen, "cold-forged" scratch resistant stainless steel, and a number of luxury straps. Unlike the Apple Watch, Huawei's product looks good in any of its guises, be that gold, silver, or black. At 42mm, this is a small smartwatch, but it comes with the now familiar set of Android Wear specs.

That means the Huawei Watch gets a 1.4-inch AMOLED 400 x 400 screen, a 6-axis motion sensor, and a Snapdragon 400 processor. It really seems as though the smartwatch fight will be won with aesthetics more than it will raw hardware. That said, the Huawei Watch performs admirably and is utterly gorgeous; it will be launching in 20 countries during the middle of the year, the price is as yet unknown.

There are Gold (with a brown leather strap), Black (black rubber strap), and Silver (stainless steel strap), while each comes with 40 different faces. The gold version is retailing for 400 Euros in Germany, while the other two models will cost 350 Euros.
