Every year, at the end of the Mobile World Conference, the group that runs the expo (GSMA) holds an awards ceremony that names some of the best of the of the mobile industry over the previous year. Now being held for the 20th year, the Global Mobile Awards were held in Barcelona and named some of the best devices in the industry.Microsoft won an award for Best Mobile Tablet, the prize going to the company's Surface Pro 3, which admittedly was a surprise considering it is still struggling to ignite in terms of sales. The award for Best Smartphone was shared between Apple?s all-conquering iPhone 6 and LG?s excellent G3, while the Motorola Moto E was named the Best Low-Cost Smartphone. Motorola was a winner again in the wearable field, with its Moto 360 smartwatch winning the Best Wearable award. While Samsung was left out for hardware award, the company did win big when it comes to security, with its KNOX software claiming the title of Best Security of Anti-Fraud Product. There were multiple other awards and winners, you can hit up the GSMA source for the full list. source: Global Mobile Awards
