Verizon subscribers should be feeling pretty happy this week if they are rocking the LG G3. The largest carrier in the United States is now rolling out Android 5.0.1 to LG's current flagship with the software version number VS98523A.The update brings Android Lollipop's Material Design alongside an updated version of LG's own simple UI Android skin. Other new additions include the ART compiler that allows apps to run quicker and smoother, while the new recent apps menu is also arriving on LG's best smartphone. Other Android 5.0.1 Lollipop goodies in the update include Project Volta to have better battery life, and an improved notifications menu. Verizon is pushing the update out in stages, so be patient if it has not landed on your G3 right away.
