HTC has completed its Android 5.0 Lollipop preparations for the One M8 flagship on time, as it said it would within three months of the software's release. However, once the update is in the hands of the carriers it is up to them as to when the patch reaches your handset. Luckily, T-Mobile is acting fast and the HTC One M8 is now receiving the update on the Magenta network. The US based carrier announced that the update would be available for its customers on February 9th, and so it proved. The file weighs in at 632.7MB and comes with the Android 5.0 Lollipop goodies, including Material Design, a "Recent Apps" menu, an enhanced lock screen, better security, and of course, HTC's own Sense UI now in its seventh iteration. At the moment the update seems to be on a staged roll out, so you may has to wait a few days to get it. If not, you can check it out manually by heading to Settings > System Update > Check. It?s a sizeable file, so make sure you are hooked to Wi-Fi and have 50% battery at least. If you already have this update, let us know how it is treating your HTC One M8.
