However, there was a feeling through 2014 that the company was finally getting the mix between high specs and quality design, the whole package. Meizu now has a solid portfolio of good looking, well spec'd, and affordable smartphones.The consumers have also spoken and seem to be accepting Meizu as the company revealed it sold 1.5 million handsets in January alone. The number was revealed by the company's CEO, Jack Wong on Chinese social network Weibo. He said December shipments were around 1 million, so the company increased sales by 50% in one month.
