A Chinese reports released today claims that Lenovo is readying a new smartphone, the Vibe Z3 Pro. Of course, in the handset market, Pro in a name means this is a bells and whistles version of the normal Vibe Z3. With that being the case, the Vibe Z3 Pro is packed with market leading specs and will be the latest flagship from the Chinese company. The Vibe Z3 Pro will come with a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD 1440 x 2560 2K resolution. The previous model came with a 6-inch 1080p screen, so there has been a screen size reduction, probably to make the handset more mainstream. The will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 64-bit processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of on board storage, micro SD card slot, 16 megapixel rear camera with Tri-LED lens, a dedicated camera button, and a beefy 3400mAh juicer. There are no price details for the smartphone, although it is going to be launched at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) in Barcelona in early March. This will be Lenovo's first flagship device since the company tied up the purchase of Motorola. The company says that the union will make the third biggest smartphone company on the market. In recent years Lenovo's position in its native China has come under threat from the likes of Xiaomi and Meizu, as well as others such as Oppo. Those companies make flagships that are spilling over with top shelf specs and the Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro seems to be the company?s response to those. It is certainly packing plenty of its own stunning hardware and I am eager to see how the device looks as a finished product when it lands at MWC in four weeks.
