HTC promised that it would update its HTC One M8 and One M7 flagships would be getting Android 5.0 Lollipop within three months of the software's release. That three month windows ends on February 1 and just like last year it seems that HTC will miss the deadline, at least partially. The company says that "some carrier versions" of the handsets will not meet that 90-day deadline, but the Taiwanese brand is saying that?s because Google's software has bugs. The company is not saying what versions will be late, but I am willing to bet some of the US carriers will be hit. Last year it was a similar story as the HTC high end smartphones missed out the update to Android KitKat 4.4 within three months.
