Google's apps and services may dominate the mobile space, but the company's Gmail app has fallen behind Microsoft's Outlook email app on Apple's iOS platform. The service launched on the App Store yesterday and has quickly became a big success, overtaking Google's Gmail in store lists. The application features services for handling emails, contacts, calendar, and more. So far it is the top 15th top free app in the United States, including all apps from the entire store, and admittedly it is a slick application. Of course, the hold over Gmail may not last too long as Google's email app is very popular on iOS. Let the mobile email wars commence.
