Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 has had some ups and downs, but it seems as though the tablet is enjoying a bit of a surge right now. Microsoft has reported that it shifted a sizeable amount of Surface Pro during its fiscal Q2 2015 (Q4 2014 calendar). The company said it sold $1.1 billion worth of Surface tablets during that period, a growth from $908 million in Surface slates during the previous quarter. Of course, the number does not propel the Surface to the top of the market, Apple will shift $8 billion in iPad this quarter. However, Surface tablet sales are better and it has at least carved out its own market space.
