Life is Good is the motto of LG, and it seems that indeed life is good for the Korean company, especially on the smartphone front. 2014 pointed to a new dawn of promise for the company, the LG G3 put the company at the top of the market with its sheer quality, while pre quarter sales showed the Korean giant was selling more handsets. That has been borne out with a big jump in yearly sales too.2014 truly was a bumper year for LG as the company shifted 59.6 million units through the year, a massive 25.2% jump over the 47.6 million smartphones sold in 2013. The G3 of course helped in that increase, but LG sold more units across the board, with plenty of its other handsets hitting the mark. The figure puts the company slightly behind Chinese heavyweights Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Huawei, but close enough that LG will no doubt think it can catch those names. As for Apple and Samsung, they are still way ahead of LG.
