AT&T has a new Android update in store for its HTC One M8, but don't get too excited as it is not the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Instead the network is getting around to issuing the Android 4.4.4 patch, the last build of KitKat. On top of the Android release, AT&T is also adding HD Voice support and updates from the Visual Voicemail and Ready2Go apps.Considering T-Mobile customers with the One M8 have had this release since October, I have to wonder why AT&T has taken so long. Hopefully this patch is just a prologue for the Lollipop bump that will come soon. That could be wishful thinking, but I hope the carrier gets Lollipop to users quickly after HTC releases the update later this month.
