As I have written previously, Samsung's plans for its Tizen operating system extend far beyond the launch of the Z1 (image), the first smartphone running the platform, which was launched yesterday. The company already has Tizen smartwatches and Tizen TVs, and the Korean giant has been detailing it rather big plans for the platform in the future.Sammy says it will launch "a flood" of Tizen based products throughout 2015, and while many of them will not be smartphones (TVs, camera, and other appliances will run Tizen), some of them will. Of course, Samsung and flooding the market go hand in hand, so if any company knows how to get a slew of new devices out there quickly, it is Samsung. For the time being the company is staying respectful to other platforms and says it not "abandoning other operating systems," which means Android and Windows. How long that will last remains to be seen.
