Nokia built a tradition of making its devices among the best for those wanting a smartphone that doubles as a point and shoot camera. In fact, the companies Lumia PureView handsets offered the best camera experience in the business. Microsoft will continue that tradition as the company is readying its own camera oriented smartphone, the Lumia 1030.Like the old Lumia 1020, this will feature the best camera technology smartphones have to offer, while it will also be a passable high end device in its own right. Like the older model, the Microsoft Lumia 1030 will look a little like a point and shoot snapper as it does a smartphone, with the huge camera module dominating the design. This will be a niche device first and foremost, but if mobile photography is your thing, this is arguably going to be your new best friend. The Lumia 1030 is all about the camera, and this time Microsoft is upping the ante with a 50 megapixel lens. That?s not the whole story though as the handset will also boast a physically larger camera sensor and short pulse LED flash. The handset will also come with the fantastic Photo App, and while megapixels are certainly not everything, I expect this to change the game in terms of smartphone cameras.
