Meizu knows a thing or two about building smartphones bursting with mega specs, just take a look the MX4 Pro that was released two weeks ago. That was a spec'd up version of the company's main flagship device and was rammed with the very best specifications on the market. The company is also preparing another new handset, although this will be more of a mid-range smartphone. The Chinese company's latest handset has shown up on GFXBench and revealed its specs. At the moment the device is running with the codename k52 and will feature some solid mid-range specs, such as a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 clocked at 1.7GHz and a Mali-T7660 GPU unit. In terms of memory there is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. A 4.6inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 478ppi is reported to adorn the front. There are no current information regarding the cameras on the handset. A very competent mid-range handset on paper then, but as is usually the case with Meizu the k52 will be extremely affordable, with a reported price tag of $163. Of course, there is almost no chance that this smartphone will be released in the US or Europe.
