Getting hold of an OnePlus One has been harder than uncovering the truth behind the Kennedy Assassination or getting Samsung and Apple to sort out their differences. The so called flagship killer with an extremely enticing price tag has been available as an invitation based purchase option only, so if you didn't have an invite you also didn't have the chance to buy the OnePlus One.The Chinese company has been promising a pre-order event for some time and after one failed attempt the OnePlus One is now available to purchase. The handset has been released for sale without an invite for a 72 hour period running over this weekend. It is worth remembering that the One does not ship out to all regions, so you will have to check if your particular country is on the list, but those in major markets should have no problems. As for the prices, the 16GB Silk White version of the handset sells for $299, while the more desirable 64GB Sandstone Black device comes for $349. Both of those are amazing value for money when you consider the OnePlus One packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with a 2.5GHz clock speed, 3GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, 13MP camera, 3,100mAh battery, and the CyanogenMod software. If you do decide to order your OnePlus handset, the company says it will ship before December 25, right in time for your Christmas stocking.
