While many companies have emerged to confirm their Android 5.0 Lollipop plans, the Korean giants have been quiet. Samsung has today offered its first tease to at least one of its smartphones getting the latest and greatest version of Google?s mobile platform. The company used its official Twitter account to post the image you can see above, clearly showing the Galaxy Note 4 surrounded lollipops. No mention of Android is made, but we think we are safe in connecting the dots to assume Samsung is saying the Note 4 will be getting Android 5.0 soon. There is the possibility that the company was just offering a celebratory image because Lollipop was released, but I think there is a little more to it than that. The Galaxy Note 4 is currently rolling out around the world, shipping with Android 4.4.3 KitKat on board, but a trip to 5.0 Lollipop is certainly a part of its future. Many of Samsung's rivals have committed to launching Android 5.0 on their flagships within the next few months and Samsung will probably adhere to that general timeframe too, although there is no confirmation yet. Perhaps Samsung could spring a surprise and update before the New Year.
