HTC has reconfirmed its plans for Android 5.0 Lollipop in the wake of the software getting an official roll out this week. You may remember that the Taiwanese company detailed its roadmap for updating high end devices when Android L was unveiled during the summer at Google's I/O event. Now that Lollipop is imminent the company though it a good time to remind its customers what they can expect in the coming months. As stated in June, HTC will bring Android 5.0 Lollipop to its flagship One devices within 90 days of the software going live, which means we can expect to see it in the next three months. HTC said that the 2013 (now 18 months old) will be getting the bump to Android Lollipop in that timeframe and the newer One M8 will also get the patch. No word on the company's other device such as the Desire range (including the new high end Desire EYE), the Butterfly 2, or the One E8. I expect they will follow shortly behind the One M7 and M8, but HTC will need to confirm that is the case.
