Sprint and Samsung have announced that the Galaxy Note 3 is getting a software update from Android 4.4.3 to 4.4.4, the latest release of Google's mobile platform. The patch was actually released on September 5th but is finding its way to devices now, available OTA (over the air), while Samsung has revealed the full list of changes. To grab the update you can head to the Menu>Settings>General>About Device path on your Sprint Galaxy Note 3 and check out the software build number as you will need Android 4.4.3 already installed to have this update. If you are rocking Android 4.4.3 you can head to Menu>Settings>General>System Update>Update to get the OTA bump. As we have said before, the Android 4.4.4 patch is very small and was only issued to deal with some minor bugs and security flaws in version 4.4.3. Nevertheless, Samsung has updated some of its own software too, and the changelog is as follows: Android 4.4.4 HD voice Icon support International Wi-Fi Calling support Google Security Patches Knox 2.0 Kids Mode The Galaxy Note 3 has now of course been replaced by the Galaxy Note 4, released at IFA last week. However, last year's phablet flagship will be supported for a long time yet and will get Android L sometime after Google officially rolls out the software. source: Samsung
