Motorola launched its first mainstream wearable yesterday in the shapely form of the Moto 360 smartphone and immediately put the device on sale in the United States via Google Play, Best Buy, or Motorola's website. However, after less than a day on sale the device is sold out, and Motorola says availability will be limited for some time.It is hardly surprising that the Moto 360 raced out of the blocks, after-all this is the smartwatch everyone has been waiting for, it was always going to sell out fast. However, the level of success is not known as it is unclear how much inventory Motorola had lined up. I suspect it was enough to make the Moto 360 a hit, but not an extensive number, especially as the company says stock will remain limited for some time. With that in mind you will have to be lucky to get your hands on one, as the device will probably sell out through each stock run until at least after Christmas. One piece of advice would be, even if you are desperate to land a Moto 360, ignore the eBay sellers. The device is cropping up on the online marketplace for prices ranging from $400 to $500. Remember, this is a $250 product and there will be more of them available through official channels, you may just have to wait. It seems that despite LG's arrival in the round faced arena with the G Watch R, Motorola still has the most desirable smartwatch and could have the first genuine hit in this niche of tech.
