We know plenty about Sony's upcoming Xperia Z3 flagship after several massive leaks revealed all but the finer details of the handset. However, the Xperia Z3 Compact, the smaller version of the device has managed to stay quiet with just a day to go until it is launched. Today though the Compact has showed up for some revealing images that are among the clearest leak shots we have ever seen.Take a look for yourself, the quality is outstanding and shows the Xperia Z3 Compact to be an extremely good looking smartphone. Let's be honest, with its squared off edges the Compact pays a passing resemblance to the iPhone 5, and even seems to have metal edges too. There is something about the device that oozes class and premium appeal, and we know Sony usually delivers those things with its handsets. The images also show the color options that will be available for the Compact, Black, White, Red, and Mint, while the glass rear panel is also revealed. Sony's OmniBalance design language has been around for a while now, and most high end Xperia devices look pretty much the same, but to my eyes OmniBalance has never looked as good as it does here. The rear shot shows that the Xperia Z3 Compact will sport the 20.7MP Exmor R camera sensor that is on the current Xperia Z2 flagship and the upcoming Xperia Z3. Other high end specs making the journey from the Z3 to the Z3 Compact are a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 2GB of RAM, and IP65 waterproofing. It will also sport a 4.7-inch 720p IPS screen and will carry Android 4.4 KitKat. The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact will land at IFA tomorrow and will be among the most desirable small form factor smartphones. In fact, the 4.7-inch market is becoming quite interesting as the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha also sport this screen size.
