While Huawei will be rolling out new products at IFA, fellow Chinese giant ZTE will not have a large presence at the Berlin based trade show. However, that does not mean the company has nothing to launch in the coming weeks, but instead ZTE will host a standalone press event in New York on September 16th.It is interesting that the company has chosen to launch products in the United States, a country where it does not do well. Like other Chinese brands, most ZTE smartphones never even find their way to the US market, preferring instead to conquer China and Asia. That is not through not trying though as Chinese companies are eager to break the US in the same way as everyone else sees China as a new frontier. ZTE's efforts have not been accepted so far by the consumer base in the US, which is actually a shame because the company does make some good handsets. The fact ZTE is launching a new device in New York City suggests that whatever lands during the event will get a roll out in the States too. We also expect to hear plenty about ZTE's US strategy too.
