Samsung and Huawei have already pencilled in their IFA events to launch new products and now Sony is on board too. The Japanese company has scheduled its press conference for the Berlin showcase for September 3rd, the same day Samsung is due to launch the Galaxy Note 4. Judging by Sony's invite card, it seems the company will be launching quite a few smartphone related products, including a new handset and peripherals.

The event is almost certainly going to be used to launch Sony's next flagship, the Xperia Z3, a handset that is likely to go against the current smartphone giants. The Z3 has leaked a number of times over the last few weeks and seems to be the company's renewed smartphone on the Android market. Like other Sony flagships, the Z3 is shaping up to be a very good handset and features the slick Sony design we have become used to.

The Xperia Z3 is reported to pack a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM, although it is unlikely to pack a Quad HD screen like the LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A. The Xperia Z3 could also be the first that Sony pushes strongly in the US market, with the company reportedly set to roll out the device quickly in a market where it has always struggled.

Judging by the invite card, it also seems that the company has some other things to unveil at IFA, including a new QX camera lens. Of course, we will be bringing you all the news from IFA as it unfolds.
