If you are rocking a T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z1 then you can now help yourself to a nice helping of fresh Android goodness. The "Uncarrier" carrier has today rolled out Android 4.4.4 to Sony's now year old former flagship, bringing the handset entirely up to date in terms of software. As we have said before, the Android 4.4.4 update is on a tiny file as it is only meant to be ironing some bug fixes in the Android 4.4.3 patch, a roll out that had much more depth. So, presumably your Z1 is already running 4.4.3, making it worthwhile boosting to 4.4.4 to get rid of any kinks in the software. Sony has also taken the time to make some minor changes of its own, giving its take on the Android software a cosmetic lift, while adding support for the company's SmartBand SWR10 and Lifelog app. Other enhancements include a boost in Wi-Fi performance and support for network phone calls. The update should land over the air, but you can also tap it up manually through you Xperia Z1?s settings. source: Xperia Z1
