The Nokia Lumia 930 or the Microsoft Lumia 930 as it is now called is having its UK launch today, giving consumers across the pond the chance to get their hands on arguably the best Windows Phone to date. The handset is landing in the country on July 17th and will boast wireless charging functionality and a price of 33 per month on a subsidised contract.

Since its launch earlier in the year, the Lumia 930 has been considered the best Windows Phone on the market. Basically it is a smaller version of the 1520 phablet, but toning down the screen real estate made is more accessible to the general smartphone consumer. With a 5-inch HD screen that is among the best in the business, the 930 is one of the only Lumia's to boast a metal chassis and along with the 1520 the only to offer specs that match the best Android powerhouse devices available.

For the most part the Lumia 930 (called the Icon when it launched as a Verizon exclusive earlier this year) succeeds at matching the heavyweights from Android. It boasts a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, a staggering 20.1 megapixel rear camera, and the most robust Windows platform yet in Windows Phone 8.1.
