The Android 4.4.4 tour continues as Google's latest version of its mobile platform continues to roll out to devices. The next to get the 4.4.4 treatment are the Google Play Editions of the HTC One M8 and M7, two handsets that have already had the bump to Android 4.4.3. As we have seen on other smartphones already with 4.4.4, the download is a tiny file and should be over in a few second provided you have a solid Wi-Fi connection. The update is merely being sent out to fix some performance, security, and design bugs with the Android 4.4.3 release. That means you will need to be already rocking that version of the platform, and if you aren't already you should wonder why you have a Google Play Edition. If you do already have 4.4.3 you can get the over the air update now. The HTC One M8 and last year's flagship the M7 are also set to get Android L when the new platform rolls out later this year. HTC has promised the smartphone will get the software within 90 days of its release, although the Google Play Edition could get it even earlier.
