The release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is not even up for debate, the device simply will arrive during the second half of the year as has become tradition. The key questions are, what will the Note 4 be and when exactly will it be launched. We have seen plenty of reports regarding the former, but also have something more concrete news about the latter today, with a new leak suggesting the exact date of the Note 4's release.

Apparently Samsung's next phablet flagship has already entered mass production and the manufacturing process will continue throughout July for the first order of devices. That means the handset will be ready for release from September 25th. However, the actual launch of the Galaxy Note 4 will likely come during the IFA trade show in Berlin through the middle of September.

This seems to be some fairly solid information as the leak apparently comes from shareholders of Samsung stock. Of course, nothing is guaranteed at this stage, but this is arguably the most solid news we have had regarding the launch window for the Galaxy Note 4. My own sources inside a UK based retailer told me four weeks ago that the Note 4 would actually land in November like the Note 3 last year.

Samsung was eager to avoid clashing with the launch window of the iPhone 6, with Apple reportedly set to launch a phablet version of its hit device. However, if this source is right and the new reports hold true, then it seems Samsung has changed its mind and will bring the Galaxy Note 4 to market earlier. Other Note 4 related news ties down the expected specs of the handset, including a 5.7-inch QHD screen, Snapdragon 805 or an Exynos 5433 with 3GB of RAM, and of course the S Pen stylus.

Wilder rumours surrounding the Galaxy Note 4 suggest that the device could feature a curved glass screen and could even have triple panels on the front and sides. That is clearly something that is less likely, but it would be a big way for Samsung to shake up the mobile market with a truly innovative change.
